Our Mission

Promoting well-being in our community by restyling fresh flowers to sow seeds of joy, hope and encouragement.

By collecting flowers that would normally be thrown away while they are still fresh,  we rearrange them into new bouquets that are then delivered to people who would benefit from a moment of kindness and beauty. Such kindness encourages healing and hope by letting them know they are valued and contributes to an improved quality of life. And a community becomes stronger when its individual members begin to heal and make connections with others.

Our Values

1. Promote well-being. We do this for others by spreading cheer and reminding people that they are valued. We do this for our earth by reusing flowers and vases that would normally be thrown in the landfill.

2. Passion. We are dedicated to our purpose of making a difference in the lives of those in need and work toward our mission with enthusiasm.

3. Kind. We believe in the life-changing power of simple acts of kindness.

4. Respect. All people are inherently valuable and deserve to be accepted, regardless of the challenging situations life may throw their way.

5. Transparent. We take pride in meeting our responsibilities and taking ownership of our actions with honesty and integrity.

Our Story

Florapy was founded on the merging of two separate careers. During her days as an RN, Elise worked in several different departments including dialysis, outpatient services, surgery and several hospital floors. While the environments were different, one thing was consistent: those patients with bedside flowers were more likely to heal quicker and have a more positive state of mind. So when Elise retired from nursing, she knew she wanted to be a part of spreading joy using flowers. She was accepted as an ambassador for The Growing Kindness Project and witnessed firsthand the smiles on the faces of those receiving a bouquet for no reason other than spreading kindness. Through these connections with community members a dream was born, and with the input from several like-minded groups, Florapy Inc. was created. As a local community-based nonprofit, we are able to reach a larger population (and have a greater effect on our community) as we fulfill our passion to promote well-being and joy for those in need of encouragement using fresh repurposed flowers.
