What we do
We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others by spreading cheer, improving mental and physical well-being, and letting them know that they are valued--all through the gift of flowers.
How we do it
We collect flowers that would normally be thrown away while they are still fresh and rearrange them into new bouquets to be delivered to people in senior living facilities, domestic violence shelters, hospitals or outpatient services, and food pantry or delivery services.
Using the healing power of flowers to help others
Give a bouquet of flowers to someone and you're likely to receive a smile in return. It's no secret that flowers bring a moment of happiness into the lives of the receiver because the gift is a reminder that they are valued, and in turn provides a boost in hope, joy and comfort, especially during challenging times. While the smiles on our recipients' faces is enough to justify our work, it turns out flowers have a deeper and more long-lasting effect than what is evident on the surface. Multiple studies on the effect of flowers have been completed, and here are a few of the findings:

Shorter hospital stays
Decrease in anxiety, depression and fatigue
Decrease in stress levels
Lower pain levels
Decrease in post-operative pain medication
Decrease in systolic blood pressure
Improved mood
Improved long-term episodic memory in the elderly

Caring for People, Caring for Our Planet
Flowers and the supplies used to create arrangements for weddings and events are most often thrown away after they've served their purpose--a few hours of use. With estimations of 30 million stems sold in the United States each year, that adds up to a lot of waste! By reusing 100% of the arrangements and supplies we receive, we provide an eco-friendly way to give them new life and keep floral materials out of the landfills. And any clippings and unusable flowers are composted to sustain the growth of future flowers.
